There’s nothing quite like a perfect slice of pizza, especially when you’ve made that perfect slice yourself. But achieving pizza parlor perfection at home is no easy task. To get that irresistible golden, fizzy crust, you’ll need an outdoor pizza oven.

We’ve been big fans of home pizza ovens ever since they hit the market. Ooni designed the first portable pizza oven – one that didn’t require literal brick-and-mortar construction – at first, but this model will set you back a pretty penny. Earlier this year, we bought all the latest and greatest models and tested them to find the best home pizza oven of 2022.

One of our favorite models with the highest scores in our tests was the Cuisinart 3-in-1 Pizza Oven. It was one of the most affordable options we tested, and now, thanks to the magic of Amazon is a huge 51% off, on sale for $147. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on any of our best-tested pizza ovens, and impressive to boot, considering most entry-level pizza ovens cost over $200.

But basic it is not. With the name alone as a clue, you probably guessed that the Cuisinart 3-in-1 Pizza Oven is pizza oven plus. It also works as a grill and griddle so you can prep all your toppings and cook your pizza in one place, earning it the title of “most versatile pizza oven” in our test. We also like to use the griddle to make hearty breakfast foods like bacon, eggs or pancakes. It is definitely useful if you don’t have another griddle surface at home.

But most important, of course, is its ability to make pizza. The Cuisinart 3-in-1 Pizza Oven makes delicious golden-crust pizzas in about 6-8 minutes. Unlike traditional wood-fired pizza ovens, this one runs on propane, so you don’t have to worry about keeping wood pellets on hand or tending to a live fire.

Before baking the pizza, we preheated the oven using the propane burner for 15 minutes with the lid closed, and the pizza stone reached a searing surface temperature of 641 degrees Fahrenheit. That super hot temperature (ideally 500 degrees Fahrenheit and up) is exactly what’s needed to quickly cook the crust and toppings evenly, with charred bits and all, just like pizzeria – and why your standard oven isn’t cutting it all. did.

We’ve also found that 12-inch pizzas are the perfect size for this pizza oven, which is equivalent to the standard medium pie you’d order at most take-out joints. (A larger pie will fit in the oven, but you risk the dough sliding off the edge of the pizza stone while baking, which could lead to a messy cleanup.)

If you’re considering adding a pizza oven to your outdoor cooking collection, this is a great opportunity to try one out without breaking the bank. To complete your pizza oven setup, Cuisinart makes accompanying accessories, like an aluminum pizza peel, a pizza cutter, or a bundle with the whole shebang — all also on sale right now.
