There’s a new pizzeria opening in The Brick, and it’s not your typical New Jersey pie.
According to an Instagram post from their official account, Round Pie Pizza Company will open its fourth location in the Brick Commons mall on the site of PJ Lee’s former Mongolian BBQ, which closed in 2019.
The brothers opened their first Round Pie in Staten Island in 2018. The following year they opened a location in Old Bridge, in 2020 they opened their location in Matawan.
This family-run pizzeria got its start on Staten Island. Owners Kash and Bek Miftari grew up around pizza their entire lives after being the sons of the family that owned the infamous Pronto Pizza which had 5 locations across Staten Island.

As the brothers got older and moved away from Pronto’s pan pizza style, they decided to go a different route: thin crust.
Having found great success in New Jersey, the Miftari brothers are excited to expand further up the Jersey Shore.
According to online reviews, Round Pie is best known for being one of the best pizza places in Staten Island. A surprising title to receive as Round Pie has only been around since 2018 calling old school pizza giants like Lee’s Tavern, Deninio’s and Joe and Pat’s Pizzeria.
Customers have also praised the pizzeria for its giant garlic knots, perfectly crispy pizza crust, and fair prices.
According to the menu listed on their site, Round Pie also specializes in calzones and strombolis, salads, wraps, paninis, and classic plates like chicken parm and penne ala vodka. They currently offer four different strombolis, eight different salads, six different wraps, eight different subs, and eight different panini options ranging from the classic meatball parm to a buffalo chicken blue ranch option.

Some pies we can’t wait to try include the cheesesteak, topped with American cheese, steak, mushrooms, peppers and red onions, and their artichoke pie which includes mozzarella, artichokes and spinach. Other specialty pies include Arugula, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken, and Vodka Pie.
According to articles posted online, Round Pie is set to officially open in June. Hours of operation are listed Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be open until 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
