CCTV appeal after £3,600 stolen from takeaway pizza

Police have released an image of someone they would like to speak to after £3,600 was stolen in an overnight burglary.

A man was caught on CCTV breaking into a pizzeria takeaway in the middle of the night and fleeing with a safe containing between £3,000 and £3,500, as well as £100 in cash from the till.

Stills from the footage show a man wearing a hi-vis jacket and beanie, taking cash from the till after breaking into Mr T’s Pizza, in Bagnall Road, Old Basford.

The burglary took place on January 23, between 2.59am and 5.05am, with CCTV footage taken from a nearby shop showing the suspect exiting and exiting in the direction of Violet Close.

Constable Alex Treweek, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: ‘We are asking anyone who recognizes this man, or who may have more information about this burglary, to come forward and let us know as soon as possible. as possible.

“We understand that up to £3,600 was stolen in this incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday January 23, and that the suspect was seen carrying the safe as he left the store.
