Chicken and Bacon: One-Pan Pasta | Tina Howel

One-pot pasta dishes are extremely popular and easy to prepare. They take very little time to prepare, hassle-free and mess-free. Perfect for the busy family. This chicken and bacon pasta is one of my favorites that comes out perfect every time.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 4 small tomatoes (diced)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipped cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, for garnish
  • 1 pound cooked pasta, pan

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place the bacon slices in a skillet and cook until tender. Then place the cooked bacon on a plate lined with paper towel to drain. Cut the bacon into 1 inch pieces
  2. Wash the chicken breast, pat dry with paper towel, season with pepper, garlic and half the salt. Then set them aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken breasts and cook on each side over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes per side (until browned) If the chicken is still pink in the middle, reduce the heat and cook covered, a few more minutes until they are no longer golden. more pink. Remove the chicken from the pan and cut it into strips.
  4. Add the butter to the skillet and once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes over medium heat, then add the spinach and cook until softened.
  6. Reduce heat, add chicken strips, paprika, Italian seasoning, ground red pepper flakes and remaining salt.
  7. Pour in the heavy whipped cream, slowly add the parmesan until it melts and your sauce becomes creamy.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and mix everything together, then garnish with grated parmesan.

Serve with fresh baguettes or garlic bread and ENJOY!
