Jet’s Pizza donates supplies and benefits flood victims in eastern KY

On Sundays only, 10% of the proceeds from the order at Jet’s Pizza will be donated to the East Kentucky Dream Center

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Jet’s Pizza is donating 10% of proceeds Sunday to help flood victims in Eastern Kentucky. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., all four Jet’s Pizza locations in Lexington will donate 10% of proceeds from in-store and online orders to the East Kentucky Dream Center.

Beyond monetary donations, the four sites are collecting non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, hygiene products and water which will be transported to Pikeville on Monday morning.

“Seeing people walk through the door [Sunday] alone, without even ordering a pizza, just saying “hey, how are you?”, who ate [Saturday] and whether I just saw what we were doing or made a phone call to say “Hey, are you all really accepting donations?”, it makes me smile just to see that we’re all working together to make this happen says director Richard Compton. “Not one person can help this, a large community just Lexington alone can’t help, everyone has to help.”

Jet’s says it will continue to collect donations and drive them around Eastern Kentucky for as long as people bring them.
