Kate Middleton is on a ‘rapid weight loss’ diet but still loves ‘cheesy pasta’

Kate Middleton has looked nearly identical since the day she officially joined the royal family, following her wedding to Prince William at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

Kate, 40, has always been active and interested in staying in shape – even since her university days when she took part in various sports including rowing.

The Duchess looks amazing and is said to have maintained a size six even after giving birth to three children following a strict exercise and diet regimen.

As reported in the Daily Express, although the Duchess has not publicly confirmed her diet, she is believed to follow the Dukan Diet.

The diet was made popular by Dr. Pierre Dukan, a French GP, the diet claims to produce “rapid and permanent weight loss without starvation”, according to Healthline.

The four-step diet consists mainly of eating high-protein, low-carb foods.

The first stage is the attack phase, where slimmers begin the diet by eating unlimited lean protein plus one and a half tablespoons of oat bran each day, lasts for a week.

The next step, which can last anywhere from a month to 12 months, is to alternate lean protein one day with lean protein and non-starchy vegetables the next, plus two tablespoons of oat bran each day.

The third phase is the consolidation phase, which lasts five days for each pound lost in phases one and two, and consists of eating unlimited lean protein and vegetables, carbohydrates and fats, one day of lean protein per week. and two and a half tablespoons of oat bran daily.

Finally, the fourth phase is the stabilization phase, which is indefinite because the thinners are asked to follow the guidelines of the consolidation phase but to relax the rules as long as their weight remains stable.

According to Mail Online, the Duchess’ diet is varied and includes lots of fruit and vegetables.

For breakfast, she usually eats a smoothie made with kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine, cilantro leaves, and blueberries.

As for lunch, the Duchess would eat raw, cold foods such as gazpacho, watermelon salads, tabbouleh and ceviche.

However, although Kate is not a vegetarian, she would prefer to eat meals without meat or fish.

During the Cambridges’ royal tour of India, Raghu Deora – who was in charge of the couple’s kitchen during their stay at the Taj Mahal Palace – revealed that the couple’s lunch would consist of vegetable skewers and lentil curry.

The chef said Hello! magazine: “Everything is vegetarian because I’ve been told that’s what they prefer.”

But the Duchess sometimes cooks meat, especially for her husband, whose favorite dish is said to be chicken.

In 2010, royal writer Katie Nicholl said: “In the evening, she [Kate] pursues his hobby of cooking William’s favorite supper, roast chicken.

“It’s their idea of ​​the perfect night.”

Although people on the Dukan Diet generally eat low carbs, Kate would treat herself and her family to pasta from time to time.

During a visit to Lavender Primary School in Enfield in 2019, Kate mentioned cooking cheesy pasta with her children, according to People.com.

Teacher Matthew Kleiner-Mann told the news site: ‘She was telling us how much her children love to cook and how they cook for her.

“They made cheese pasta the other day.

“We stir the flour, we put the milk and the butter. And they make salads and all that.”
