LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A local pizzeria is back in business after a group of thieves broke into one of their locations twice in 48 hours.
FOX5 interviewed These Guys Pies last week, who were already struggling with rising food prices.
“Angry, mad, vulnerable, violated, we work hard for what we do,” said Chris Builder, owner of These Guys Pies.
CCTV footage shows the first incident occurred early Sunday morning, when he said someone smashed a rear window and took about $200 from the register.
“It’s a mix of emotions, nobody got hurt, it’s #1, it’s all physical, it can be replaced,” he said.
Before the store reopened on Monday morning, they were hit again. The builder said 3 suspects broke into their business, ripped the cash register off the counter and caused other major damage.
“That’s the biggest impact of that, not the physical cash, which is pennies versus lost sales and not being open to guests to come and eat,” he added.
He says this is the first time something like this has happened.
“It’s not going to discourage us, we’re going to keep doing what we love, it’s just another obstacle.”
The automaker said it plans to make changes to their security.
