New Beaver Dam, Kentucky Domino’s Pizza Opening Soon

A new Domino’s Pizza location was scheduled to open in January 2022 in Beaver Dam. After 90 days of delay, the time is closer to its highly anticipated grand opening. They are also hiring for various positions. Consult the menu.

When I was driving through Beaver Dam a few weeks ago, I was thrilled to see a new Domino’s Pizza location on the horizon. You really can’t miss the restaurant when you walk down North Main Street. The building is bright and beautiful, soon it will smell so good!

Opening of the new Domino’s in Beaver Dam

January 23, 2022 was supposed to be a big day. It was National Pie Day and the grand opening was scheduled for the new restaurant. The new Domino’s location in Beaver Dam was supposed to open, but it didn’t. It’s hard to believe that everything would change, based on an “oven hood”. Due to state law, a fire hood was required before the restaurant opened. There were delays getting the hood from the company, then they waited for the parts to arrive, only to find that the sprinkler system also needed to be upgraded. It’s been one thing after another, but if all goes well they hope to open next week.

Janet Daugherty Coulter, “Praying that everything will get better for you and that it will be okay soon.”

Felicia Howell,Hang in there, perfection takes time!

Linda Patten,All good things come to those who wait. It will happen.”

Robbie Poppy Creek,”Hang on it will open soon! I’m ready!

Brenda Mercer,”I love this pizza! So excited for Ohio County!!

Opening day excitement

I had a chat with the owner, Carla Lawson today about the progress and more. She explained how important it was to make sure the early excitement for the grand opening continued throughout the delays. She tried to think of ways to engage on social media while remaining transparent with the struggles ahead. There are frequent trivia contests with questions about how pizza is served all over the world. She and her husband Robert opened their first Domino’s location on May 22, 2000 and currently have locations in Russelville and Central City, and hopefully soon in Beaver Dam. They know how important it is to always stay active in the communities in which they serve! Believe me, the excitement is ALWAYS there on social media.

Jason Decker, “Wuh, can’t wait for you to open. I was expecting a relative. But, pray it’s soon.”

Heather Blair,”Hang on! More time just allows everything to fall into place. Ohio County looks forward to.”

Rebecca Bidwell,”You can do it. And it will be awesome!!!!

Domino’s Hiring in Beaver Dam

The management team and the internal team are quite well defined at the moment, but they will need delivery drivers. This may change as they may need to hire additional team members once demand is established after soft opening.

Drivers start at $9 per hour $2 per delivery tip and paid mileage overnight. Applicants must pass a background check and drivers must pass MVR (motor vehicle record).
All applicants will be required to train at our Central City location with paid travel mileage.

Carla explained that many longtime crew members are like her family. They leave an eternal mark on her and Robert, Carla shared with me.

Domino’s Pizza Ordering and Delivery in Ohio County

Many have asked on social media how far delivery will go in Ohio County. The rule of thumb is that delivery is within a 5 mile radius. They will offer “Hot Spot” locations further afield to accommodate some nearby schools and factories. I love this idea. They work with businesses and organizations to provide a stop, in a well-lit area, so people can grab their pizza. For example, Southern Elementary is a perfect “Hot Spot” to be close to Perdue. They will also make “larger” deliveries out of the area if the order criteria is met with a small additional delivery charge added. They are used to handling large orders for churches, corporate parties, schools, etc.

Traci Midkiff,”Do you have door dash??”

Door Dash is not available at this time due to Domino’s excellent delivery service.

Rhonda Lynn Rowan, “When are you all going to open and will you have meals on site???”

Hoping to open next week, and there will be a few tables inside to eat. It won’t be a restaurant per se, but if someone’s on a lunch break and wants to grab a slice, it’s an option.

Ron Anderson, “Where is this store in Beaver Dam, KY?
