Co-owner Ben Stafford said: “To celebrate our move to East Kilbride, we will be giving away free slices of our grandmother’s pizza (margarita) on Saturday July 2 from 12pm until we sell out.

“It will be on a first come, first served basis and collection only.

“As I come from East Kilbride I want us to be a central part of the community. We will be accepting donations for our slices on the day to raise money for the EK Community Food Bank.”

Canotto Pizza arrives in East Kilbride

The popular restaurant, formerly based in South Glasgow in the Margaretta Buildings of Cathcart, announced its move to the College Milton area of the city on its Instagram page earlier this month.

Canotto was started by Glasgow man Dom Morton, who quit his job as a CAD engineer after years of making pizzas at home for friends and family, with the help of his wife Gill.

Ben started working there last year during his teacher training and quit his job as a PE teacher to go into business with Dom.

They have unveiled a new menu to celebrate their move to CloudQitchens in the Milton College industrial estate of East Kilbride.
