Good news for pasta lovers, a no-fuss Italian joint has opened in Wentworth Point and it’s worth checking out ASAP.
Opened in late 2021, Papa Pasta is Sydney’s first 100% halal Italian restaurant and it has some great talent behind it. Celebrity chef Danny Russo has reviewed the menu and the kitchen is run by former Merivale chefs, so you know the food will be very tasty. Best of all, it won’t cost you a small fortune.
As the name suggests, it’s all about pasta at this kitschy restaurant. There are 13 pasta dishes in total, including old-fashioned beef lasagna, shrimp fettuccini, truffle macaroni and cheese, wild mushroom pappardelle, spaghetti, and meatballs. And there are also dishes that break the rules, like spaghetti topped with chicken parmigiana. What would Nonna think?
You’ll also want to stock up on bruschetta, Panzanella salad, and ciabatta with truffle butter and melted mozzarella. Basically, if you don’t get out of here, you haven’t really experienced Papa Pasta.
In terms of decor, Papa Pasta is warm and cheerful, especially with its yellow booths and red neon sign. Think of the retro vibe of a cafeteria where it’s all about the food.
