After a two-year hiatus, the 4th Annual Pizza & Pasta Northeast Expo returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center on Sunday and Monday, October 16-17, 2022.
Expectations for this iconic event are high:
The event presents the best suppliers of Italian pizzerias and restaurants in the Northeast.
The two-day show features a program of pizza and pasta demonstrations by top chefs, as well as seminars and workshops presented by industry leaders.

The big expectation is that this two-day event will attract 5,000 attendees and generate over 1,300 room nights, while driving an overall economic impact of nearly $3 million.

Many foods get a special day. Pizza has its own recognized month. October is National Pizza Month, first established in 1989.
Bill Oakley is the food show’s director, who said:
“The Northeast has the highest concentration of pizzerias and Italian restaurants in the United States, so we’re pulling out all the stops to make this the biggest and best show ever,” Oakley said.
“Based on the numbers to date, we expect record attendance of over 2,000 restaurateurs
that will converge on the Atlantic City Convention Center to learn, network, shop and eat,” said Oakley.
Oakley also emphasized reminding all pizzeria tours of the major impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pizzerias and Italian restaurants.
“For this year’s event, we wanted to add a bit more excitement, so we’re introducing a new Calzone and Young Pizza Maker of the Year competition, as well
as a Happy Hour to close out the show which we believe will be a big hit,” Oakley said.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from renowned chefs who own successful pizzerias. The objective of this exhibition is to provide direct contact with industry experts, to help position restaurateurs for success in the future.
I would be remiss if I did not include New Jersey Senator Michael Testa (see above), who is probably the most prolific pizza connoisseur in the southern New Jersey region.
