Portland Agency Undnyable Creates “Pizza Poetry” To Make People Hungry For Pizza MOD

PORTLAND, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Portland-based agency Undnyable today announced the launch of a new campaign for MOD Pizza that will run throughout the fall. MOD Pizza’s brand platform “All Pizza’s Welcome” served as inspiration for the playful new campaign, celebrating MOD’s “All Toppings, One Price” approach by proudly declaring their unique topping combinations in a va- back and forth, poetry-slam style song.

“MOD is primarily a hangout, not a pizza place,” said Steve Williams, Executive Creative Director of Undnyable. “So we designed these campaigns to celebrate the idea that no matter who you are or what you put on your pizza, MOD is where you belong.”

For Undnyable, the project was a perfect opportunity to flex the agency’s deep culinary experience and agile, senior-led approach.

In addition to brand creativity, the campaign supports the launch of MOD’s first-ever family meal offering, the ‘MOD FUNdle’, featuring four custom pizzas, a mega salad and four of their ‘No Name Cakes’, packaged together in a convenient on-the-go set featuring puzzles, mazes, word searches plus exclusive digital content accessible with a QR code on the box.

MOD’s inclusive hiring practices come to life in the campaign which features real MOD Squad members – including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and former justice workers telling the MOD story in a similar poetic and rhyming style.

Undnyable teamed up with food and motion design experts Sugarhi for the production, which mixes live action and animation. Spots were filmed over two days in Seattle on stage and at a MOD Pizza restaurant. The music was created by the Rad Lazer songwriting team, with lyrics captured live on set.

The campaign launches in September on digital and social platforms, including YouTube and Hulu. Campaign media is managed by Supply.
