Taco Bell replaces Mexican pizza with something weird

While now commonplace, partnerships between snack producers and fast food companies only really took off with Taco Bell’s Doritos Locos Tacos.

The taco shell made from the same material as the crunchy cheese chips immediately garnered a cult following and sparked a wave that continues to this day.

Only in the past few months have we seen Krispy Kreme DNUT and General Mills GIS’s Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Pepsi PEP-flavored pizza, and Buffalo Wild Wings BWLD sauce made with Frito-Lay’s Doritos.

What else happened at Taco Bell?

Hopefully that doesn’t happen with the Cheez-It items that have yet to be confirmed, but, as the above incident has shown, it can be difficult to gauge which limited-edition dish is coming. will go out and which one will become a cult classic. remembered over generations.

“Our menu is full of fan favorites, but Mexican pizza tops the list,” Taco Bell CEO Mark King said in a statement.
