A man was allegedly assaulted and had a trash can thrown at him before being chased to his home.

Three men have been arrested after reports of a group of men fighting on Queens Avenue, Watford, outside King of Pizza on Sunday August 14.

At around 5 p.m., a man was allegedly kicked and punched before the bin was thrown at him, bruising his foot.

As he attempted to run home, he was allegedly followed to his front door, which was then kicked in an attempt to gain entry.

Assistant Investigator Taylor Routledge said: “We understand there were a lot of people around while the incident was unfolding and I’m looking forward to hearing from anyone who saw what happened or has information.”

A 28-year-old man from Borehamwood and an 18-year-old from Watford were arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH) and violence to secure the entrance.

Both were released on bail with conditions until September 12.
