But in reality, there is a problem that constantly (literally) arises when boiling water: it tends to overflow and spill out of the pan.

A woman—TikTok DIY expert Chantel Mila—says there is a simple solution to prevent this from happening.

All you have to do is lay a wooden spoon on top of the pot.

Because the wooden spoon is unable to absorb water properly, it punctures the surface of the rising bubble, breaking the tension and causing the water to settle.

Chantel, who goes by @Mama_Mila_ online, offered two more hacks in the clip.

The first was to remove the guck that your sliding doors tend to accumulate.

“Clean door tracks effortlessly with a microfiber cloth around a dull knife,” she explained.

Chantel first sprayed disinfectant on the door tracks.

She then took a butter knife, wrapped a towel around it, and proceeded to wedge the towel into those hard-to-reach slots on the tracks.

Then just scrub it as usual to get it sparkling clean.

Her third tip taught viewers how to have a kitchen that smells good.

“Simmer coffee beans and vanilla in the oven to make your home smell amazing,” she advised.

As for the temperature and roasting time of the mixture: set your oven to 230 degrees and cook for about 20 minutes.

His subscribers appreciated the helpful tips:

“OH MY GOD, I’VE BEEN TRYING TO CLEAN MY DOOR TRACKS FOR A YEAR. THIS IS BLOODY ENGINEERING,” one exclaimed.

“Ooooh coffee beans and vanilla sound like bliss!” added another.

A third person offered an extra tip:[The door tracks hack] also works for that groove around your cooker.
